Missing Amish man found ‘alive and well’ after search near Tyrone

TYRONE, PA - Multiple organizations are searching for a missing Amish man in the Sinking Valley area Friday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, that man is 38-year-old John Swarey who is described as being 5’5, 130 lbs and having a red beard, last seen wearing a straw hat, lavender shirt and dark-colored pants. He was reported as last being seen around 2 p.m. Thursday in the area of Silver Barn Road and Hileman Road.
