You Face Opposition, but so did Jesus, by Emma
May 1, 2018
Good Morning. I would like to order one of your books, “The Overcoming Life.”
And here is some money to help pay for your newsletter.
Finally! Keep up the good work! I know you face opposition, but so did Jesus. I’m also thankful for some opposition so we know Jesus is working. If Satan would leave us alone, then he would be sure he has us in his clutches already.
Thank you Emma! Your kind words and donation to help pay for printing and postage was greatly appreciated. You also encouraged us to keep on keeping on.
As I read your note, I was reminded: there’s only one way to escape opposition in life. A person would have to move away from all mankind and live on a lonely island for the rest of his or her life. That would not be any fun either.
It is also clear that those who stand for biblical truth, will often be scrutinized and mocked. It happened under the leadership of Moses, the prophet Jeremiah, King David, Jesus Christ, and all the apostles and witnesses of Christ throughout the ages.
Many who lived before us, gave their lives because they stood for the truth! They were cast out of synagogues and churches. They were forsaken by parents and other family members. But nothing kept them from moving forward and keeping their eyes on the prize. Nothing!
As editor of the Amish Voice, I will be the first one to tell you, I do not have it all together. Yes, I have learned a great deal about the Scriptures, but I have so much more to learn.
I have determined this: I will pray and do my very best to provide encouraging and challenging articles through the Amish Voice publication. I believe it is what God called me to do. Some will be open and receive what we have to share. Others will not have anything to do with us, and mock us. Either way, when I die, it is my utmost desire to hear those precious words from the lips of my Savior, Jesus Christ—well done, good and faithful servant. Hallelujah and God bless you, Emma!
