Father to Son: Don't Get Married in English Church

God is love "plain" and simple how would you feel if Heavenly Father shunned you? we are to love one another not judge one another,the sooner you realize that you are not better than anyone else the better off you will be,

Hello everyone!! Let me just say that God loves true worshipers, Jesus said in Jhn 4:23"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."God [is] Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." The whole problem is how we were brought up, not knowing the way to salvation. When I was amish I was a self-righteous person and oh how wretched I was. I was a Pharasee doomed to hell !!! But then I found Jesus and He gave me life, the life I never knew. It was only by His mercy and grace that saved me and it is not what I done it is what He did on that cross for me and for you!!! But, because of Jesus who is worthy of all praises, and because I now believe, it will cause divisions. I lost friends , family , brothers and sisters. Jesus said in Matt. 10:34-39 Mat 10:34"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.Mat 10:35"For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';Mat 10:36"and 'a man's enemies will be those of his [own] household.' [fn]Mat 10:37"He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.Mat 10:38"And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.Mat 10:39"He who finds life whis ill lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.You see; when I recieved Jesus as my Savior my life changed for the better. I was able to feel loved for the first time and live for God instead of man. I now have peace with God through Jesus Christ. He shows me the joy I never new. He made my heart alive for Him and those around me. He called me for His purpose not mine. And He loved me first before I loved Him. God gave His only begotten Son for me and for everyone else. And yes: in the end there will be torment because of not believing in Jesus as their Savior. I would much rather believe in Jesus than tradition. I do know that I am saved because the Bible says in Rom 10:9,10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. I hope this makes sense to everyone because I am not good in writing letters. Just remember that Jesus and only Jesus saves and He holds the key to salvation !!!! Praise be to His name !!!! Ed hostetler

Laura, there are many Amish people, if not most, who believe they are closer to God than any other church denomination. In fact, they would not even consider themselves a denomination; rather the church that stuck it out to the end.

I have a question? Do the amish feel they are the only righteous people? If so, why dont they encourage other people to join? does not make sense at all

One question, why would music be wrong? There are many scriptures to support good Spiritual music, infact it is the only way we can worship God, so would you Amish stop for once and consider why you FEEL that way, Is it even Biblical or is it merely something some frail person made up? Because you can know you are saved, It is in the Bible, and the Bible says to not take away from what it says. Be ye careful that thinking that you stand, that you do not fall!

As a parent, I can almost feel the hurt and plea in this letter, :-(.
