Bible Project
Did you know?
The Amish know three languages: Pennsylvania Deitch, English and German.
- Pennsylvania Deitch is their mother tongue and is a dialect which is spoken in the home
- English becomes their second language and is learned while going through 8 grades of school
- German is the language in which all their spiritual books are written in ---- the Bible, the song and prayer books and a few other choice reading materials.
Of the three languages, German is the least understood. And because so few understand what they read, many do not read the Bible at all. Therefore, we have been working diligently at providing English written Bibles, to the ones who will accept them.
Because of people who support this project, MAP has for the last few years been able to give out 2,000 New Testaments a year.

The following chart gives you an idea how much our New Testaments cost:
1 - New Testament ($.90)
10 - New Testaments ($9.00)
15 - New Testaments ($13.50)
25 - New Testaments ($22.50)
50 - New Testaments ($45.00)
100 - New Testaments ($90.00)
1,000 - New Testaments ($900.00)
