Mission to Amish People — (419) 962-1515 Page 3
Hi Joe, Thanks so much for the
DVD and CD’s. I very much enjoy
them. My husband and I and our
seven children lef the Amish
about 17 years ago, then we just
felt we were lost. We just did a lot
of partying—now my husband
ended up in prison; he has been in
there for almost 7 years now. We
both turned to the Lord since. But I
stll have a lot of sad and hard days
so I really need a lot of prayer.
Thanks again—IN

Joe Keim, Greetngs of Christan
love. We are full of praise to God
for your work, in the Amish Voice.
We say Amen to it all and would
really like to help you write more.
We are banned by the Amish,
simply because we don’t agree
with all their traditons, but want
to live a life of common sense.
I would really like to share the
common sense to our parents and
brothers, but they won’t listen to
me. So I think they must have a
copy of the Amish Voice too. It’s
hard for me to put my thoughts on
paper in a sensible way, but I
ofen tried to make some kind of
writng to bring out the foolish-
ness of some of their traditons.
The one most on my mind is that
they think they must dress in their
suit and wear their “mutza” even
if it’s warm. This style coat got so
important; it must be worn even if
it’s too warm. I have many
writngs that I wrote in my note-
book. Wish I could share them
with you, so you could get it word-
ed in a simple and scriptural way.
I just want to encourage you and
help you in any way I can. And
please send a March issue of
Amish Voice to the following:
Thanks and may God bless you
and your work. —S. Yoder
In October of 2010, the ministry called Robert
McCallum to become the Director of Educaton
for MAP. Over the last seven months it has
been an extraordinary journey within the min-
istry, and Brother McCallum and the rest of us
have learned from each other.
However, it is with deep regret that MAP an-
nounces the resignaton of Robert McCallum
from the positon of Director of Educaton,
efectve May 2, 2011.
The MAP Advisory Board would like to take this
opportunity to thank Robert for his service to
the ministry over the last seven months. While
he was Director of Educaton, Robert presented
MAP in a number of churches, located in Penn-
sylvania and Virginia, to name a few.
We are also thankful for his willingness to con-
tnue the promoton of MAP in the future, if the
opportunity presents itself.
Robert, has sensed the Lord’s leading to a pas-
toral ministry. I’m sure they would covet your
prayers at this tme.
In that line, I would ask you to pray for MAP as
well. With the Director of Educaton positon
now open, we are seeking the Lord’s leading in
what steps to take next. There is now a hole in
a vital ministry of Mission to Amish People and
we need the Lord’s guidance in directng future
ministry. Thank you for praying!
God’s grace to you today,

Eli (right), formerly Amish and a very close
friend of mine has been
actvely involved in reach-
ing out to the former Amish
in his home area. Below is
an artcle that he wrote,
just for you. —Joe
Eli writes: We meet on Sat-
urday morning from 7:30
to 8:30. We mostly have Ex-
Amish people come to the Bible study, but there
has been a few English guys show up in the
past. We also had an Amish man come one
tme.
In March, we met at Ryan’s restaurant, for
breakfast, for a tme of fel-
lowship.
This past winter we studied
the book of Romans. I really
enjoyed that, and now we
are working our way
through the workbook
called ABC’S of Christan
Growth. If you would like to
come to the bible study please email me

MAP Has A Need
As MAP becomes more
involved in making
booklets, there is a
need for us to have our
own coil binding ma-
chine. After checking
around for pricing, we
have located the pictured machines for a ministry discounted price. One ma-
chine punches the holes and the other puts various sized coils in place. So
far, we have always had to borrow someone else's machine, and at this point,
we believe that MAP needs to get their own. Should the Lord burden you to
get involved in giving to this project, please let us know.
Coil Inserter: $435
Binding Machine: $1,200
