Elizabeth Miller Survives Serious Car Accident
In the January issue of
Dee’s
News
, we reported that Elizabeth
Miller had gotten her driver’s
license, earned her GED, and
found a car. How quickly life can
change.
In this issue we are sad to report
that Elizabeth was involved in an
early morning car accident on her
way home from work, February
21st. Her car began to slide on an
icy patch and Elizabeth lost con-
trol. Her car hit a large tree
broadside. As a result, she suf-
fered serious injuries. She was
taken to a local hospital and then
sent, via ambulance, to Grant
Medical Center in Columbus,
Ohio. She was in the ICU unit
for several days before being re-
leased to Physical Therapy at
Riverside Methodist Hospital in
Columbus. At that time, contact
with her was lost due to her
Amish parents’ desire to remove
her to Michigan. Not very much
is known about her current con-
dition except through a source
who lives in the Michigan com-
munity. (Elizabeth had left her
Amish home in 2010 and conse-
quently, her parents were not
pleased with the visits she re-
ceived from her English friends,
so limits were placed on visita-
tion and information after her
hospitalization and release.) That
she survived her serious brain
injury is a miracle in itself. We
thank God for His protection!
She is continuing in therapy, and
reports are she is now walking
and talking. Please continue to
pray for Elizabeth. If you’d like

ment, please use this address:
