Harvey Swartzentruber

I left the Amish on Saturday March 24, 2007 in Sullivan, OH. I had a friend of mine to pick me up. So I moved to Crestline, Oh, Lived there for a year, then I noticed that I need to do something different in my life because I was more and more getting into that sinful world stuff, and it scared me so much.

I ended up moving to Colorado; I figured now it would go different. Soon after that, it came back to me that that's not the point. I saw that I need God, but still I wasn't sure how to go about getting God. So, this one day at work, the guy we were working for started asking me about my life and at that time I was really debating to move back to Ohio but I was still scared.

Anyways this guy told me how he got saved and how it turned out. WOW! Now I was really hungry for God. So he prayed there for me and shared some scriptures and right there I gave my heart to the Lord, and I felt like a new man.

It was so awesome to look forward and let go of the past. So shortly after that I moved back to Ohio and started working for the same company I was working for before, which I want to thank Sam Schwartz so much for hiring me back. Because, at first, I felt like I can't ask him to hire me again.

And now I want to follow the Lord and get baptized and just let go of the past and live for the Lord with all my heart.
