Clare, MI: Just after 2:00 p.m. today a truck slammed into the rear of an Amish Buggy, just south of Dollar General on S. Clare Ave., sending at least one person to the emergency room. Shown here is whats left of the buggy and emergency personnel attending to the injured. More information will be announced as we receive it.

MARYSVILLE OH — Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported four people were injured in a crash involving a car and buggy that occurred at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday on State Route 31 at County Road 340 in Union County.

GLADWIN COUNTY – An accident involving a truck and an Amish buggy Fridaynight resulted in injuries for the occupants of both vehicles, and the death of the horse driving the buggy.
According to the Gladwin County Sheriff Department report, the accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, May 4 at the corner of South Bard and Buzzell roads.

Boonville — A Wednesday night accident between an automobile and horse-drawn carriage has put two men in the hospital.
Around 9 p.m., Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the incident, which occurred on Highway 87, about a half-mile south of Logan Road near Prairie Home.

April 27, 2012 --- Third person dies after buggy crash
ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) -- The Adams County Sheriff’s Department announced Friday that a third person who was riding in a buggy when a van crashed into it last week, died overnight.
Police said 17-year-old Jerry Schwartz died in a Fort Wayne hospital as a result of the injuries he suffered when 21-year-old Chandler Gerber crashed a van into the buggy that was carrying him and five other people near the intersection of S.R. 124 and C.R. 400 W, just before 8 a.m. on April 17, 2012.
A three-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl were also killed in the crash.

ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A Tuesday morning crash in rural Adams Co. has killed one person and injured five others.
Just before 8:00 a.m., the sheriff's department received a 911 call about the crash, near the intersection of S.R. 124 and C.R. 400 W. That's about three miles west of Monroe.

Two teens were slightly injured Monday night when the Amish buggy they were riding in was struck by a pickup truck in Lafayette County, with the pickup truck driver failing to stop after the crash, authorities reported.

Parkman OH: The Chardon Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a Sunday night crash that injured a teenage girl.
According to the preliminary crash report, a 2001 Kia and an Amish buggy both were northbound on Route 528 in Parkman Township at around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Pike County MO: A man in a horse-drawn buggy and the driver of a 2003 Cadillac Escalade suffered moderate injuries in a crash earlier today in Pike County.
The driver of the buggy failed to yield at an intersection, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

Five family members were taken to a hospital, where they were treated and released, after a pickup truck slammed into the back of their horse-drawn buggy in Rapho Township Sunday morning, police said.
Glare from the sun likely caused the wreck, according to Manheim Borough police Chief Joe Stauffer.

New York state law enforcement officials say two Amish children are in critical condition after the horse-drawn buggy they were in was rear-ended by a package delivery driver.
The auto accident was about 330 miles north of Newburgh in the border town of Massena, in St. Lawrence County.
State police said the buggy had two women and four kids in it. One of the women apparently suffered a spinal injury in the accident, while the other woman and the other two children were reportedly treated at a nearby hospital for their injuries and released.

Boonville — A mid-morning Cooper County accident has put an Amish man in the hospital.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol Lieutenant Jerry C. West, an horse-driven buggy was traveling northbound on Highway 87, about six miles south of I-70, when it was struck by a Chevrolet S-10 pickup, also traveling northbound.

ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY -- Two amish children are being treated at Upstate University Hospital after their buggy was hit by a Fed Ex truck.
The accident happened Monday afternoon on Route 37 in Massena. State Police said all six people in the buggy were taken to Massena Memorial Hospital, but a woman and two three-year-old children have been transfered to Upstate in Syracuse.
The children are listed in critical condition.

Two horse-drawn buggies were struck from behind by hit-and-run drivers in the past two days, police said.
A young woman was injured early Monday when a vehicle struck the back of a horse-drawn buggy in Paradise Township, state police at Lancaster said.
Amos King Jr., 19, of Quarryville, was driving a horse and buggy south on South Belmont Road, south of Lincoln Highway East, when another southbound vehicle struck the buggy from behind at 12:43 a.m., they said.
Ruthann Zook, 18, of Paradise, one of two women riding on the back of the buggy, was injured in the crash, police said.

Nine injured in crash involving truck, Amish buggy
WOOSTER OH — Nine people were taken to area hospitals after a Ford F-150 pickup truck collided with an Amish buggy Saturday morning, according to a dispatcher with the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Wooster post. The injuries were described as not life-threatening. The names of those injured were not available Saturday night.

Buggy collision claims boy’s life: Funeral services were held Wednesday for a young boy killed in a buggy collision last Friday. Eleven-year-old Landis Martin died as a result of injuries sustained when the buggy in which he was a passenger was hit from behind by a pickup truck.

GRAVES COUNTY - Five Amish children were dragged several feet in an overturned buggy on Saturday in Graves County, Kentucky after being hit by a sports utility vehicle.
The old-fashioned carriage, unadorned by the bright orange safety signs that have caused quite a stir in local Amish circles recently, was then knocked into a ditch.
While the passengers of the wagon, aged between seven and 15, survived the incident unscathed, a teenage boy who was driving the horse-drawn buggy has been cited for failing to display the regulation orange triangle.

Driverless horse and buggy found on Wisconsin 23 after driver thrown in crash
An Amish man was slightly injured Sunday night when he was thrown from his buggy when it was struck from behind by a vehicle, with the driverless horse and buggy found running down a state highway near Darlington, authorities reported.
Jacob King, 30, of Darlington, was driving the buggy on Wisconsin 23 in the town of Willow Springs in Lafayette County at about 10:50 p.m. when the buggy was struck by an unknown vehicle, the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
