What We Believe

What we believe In Acts 17:11 says: These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

The Bereans, in the Apostle Paul's day, did not unquestioningly accept what Paul said. Rather, they examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul (and others) taught was in agreement with or contradictory to the Scriptures. We should do no less today.

Unfortunately, today, there is much error and departure from the sound teaching of God's word. Therefore, it is only right for you to know what the "Mission to Amish People" ministry believes. In that way, you will be better able to understand and know the direction and emphasis of our Ministry.

This, then, is what the Mission to Amish People believes!

This is our Doctrinal Statement of Faith

We believe the whole Bible, from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, as the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:21; Psalm 12:6-7)

We believe Jesus Christ was born of Mary the virgin. (Matthew 1:18-25)

We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. (Romans 5:6-10; I Peter 2:24)

We believe that Jesus Christ rose from the grave the third day according to the Scriptures. (Mark 16:1-18)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the great High Priest and that He makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)

We believe that a person has to trust Jesus by faith alone and receive the gift of God, which is eternal life through Jesus, in order to go to heaven. (Romans 6:23; Acts 16:30-31; Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe in baptism by immersion. (Romans 6:3-5; Acts 8:38-39)

We believe that Christians should be separated from worldly and sinful practices, to a life totally dedicated to Christ. (II Cor. 6:14-18)

We believe in the rapture of the saved. Jesus will come and receive His Bride unto Himself. (II Thes. 4:13-17; I Cor. 15:51-53)

We believe in the second coming of Christ, when Christ will come, in person, bodily, and visibly to establish His Kingdom on the earth. (Zec. 14:4; Rev. 5:9-14)

WE STAND: for the verbally inspired Word of God, the Trinity, the deity of Christ, His blood atonement, salvation by faith, separation from the world, soul winning and the pre-millennial return of Christ.

"Joe, I did want to say how much we and our church enjoyed your visit and presentation with us. Many people commented on your presentation and how much it opened their eyes. It is my prayer and that of others also that we will be able to bring you on for support but of course that is not up to me. "
